Frequently Asked Questions

What exactly is 'Genuine Re-manufactured' and why should you insist on it ?

There are two types of replacement parts you can generally get for your vehicle, these are:
  • Genuine Re-manufactured parts and..
  • After-market replacement parts
If a part is 'Genuine Re-manufactured' is means that the original part, whether it be a pump, rack, driveshaft etc, is stripped down completely, sand-blasted and hot-washed, then re-machined to exact original manufacturers specifications, then new bearings, seals etc are added and finally the part is then finished by re-spraying with paint.

This results in a part that is equivalent in strength and specifications as the original installed by the manufacturer.

After market replacement parts are often unfortunately manufactured in China these days, and have shown to be of a lessor standard strength wise and not always exactly to manufacturer's specifications, resulting often in difficulty in fitting and shorter life span.
